Date: Friday, January 17, 2025 Program: Local Cherokee Culture, Stories and Life Ways Location: The Club at Keowee Key, Cascade Room, 1 Country Club Rd, Salem SC Social Time: 11:15 am Meeting: 11:15 am - 2:00 pm Lunch: Parmesan Crusted Salmon over Rice Pilaf and Asparagus. Dessert is Cobbler with whipped cream. Cost is $19.95 ++ ($25.14) RSVP: Call the Club at 864-944-2151 before noon on Wednesday. Let The Club know if you need an alternate menu. Program Description: Local Cherokee Culture, Stories and Life Ways: Hear how Cherokee women passed on their individual knowledge in the past and how they continue to do so today. In a humorous presentation by Nancy Basket, we will hear what stories were relevant and how these stories called them back home. A local artist, Nancy uses kudzu, pine needles and other natural materials in her unique artwork, making baskets, chandeliers and hundreds of paper designs.
